Brigit Obrist ist Professorin der Medizinethnologie und arbeite am Schweizerischen Tropen- und Public-Health Institut (link: http://www.swisstph.ch/) und dem Ethnologischen Seminar der Universität Basel (http://ethnologie.unibas.ch). Sie leitet die „Medical Anthropology“ Forschungsgruppe (link: http://ethnologie.unibas.ch/research/medical-anthropology/) und ist zusätzlich im Bereich der Forschung- und Lehrkooperationen mit Afrika tätig.
